Quiona Beason
Area Coordinator, Residence Life & Undergraduate Student Housing

Quiona has primary responsibility for the management of undergraduate residential communities. She works to establish an environment that will allow her residents to accomplish their academic goals and to participate in co-curricular personal growth experiences. Quiona seeks to develop a sense of community in each residence hall in her assigned area of responsibility.

She is assigned to the Richmond College Dean’s Office, where she serves as a primary representative of the University. Quiona assists the dean with addressing academic, personal, and social concerns of the students of the College, and facilitates programmatic experiences administered by the dean’s office. She also work closely with the deans of both Colleges to support and assist students in the University and residential communities.

Graduate Assistant for Leadership Programs, Office of Leadership & Student Involvement, Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC (August 2012-June 2014)

• Coordinate the campus wide Whee Lead Leadership Conference held annually
• Re-established and effectively recruited student leaders for Omicron Delta Kappa
• Serve as an advisor to Catcamp, Freshman Leadership Institute and the Leadership Institute
