Investiture 2024: Welcome Class of 2028!
On August 25, 2024, Richmond College held its annual Investiture ceremony for the Class of 2028.
A tradition that began with Dean Emeritus, Richard Mateer - Investiture was established as a matriculation ceremony to welcome the first-year students into the College and University at-large.
During Investiture, our first-year students recited and signed the honor pledge, received their class coin, and were presented with their class flag.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the class was given a charge to live by the mantra of Take Care of Yourself, Others, and This Place before proceeding out of the Chapel under an arch of retired class flags, representative of Richmond College classes that came before them.
We are thrilled to have the Class of 2028 at the University of Richmond, and we cannot wait to see all that they will accomplish.
Please join us in welcoming the Class of 2028!
